企者不立,跨者不行。
自见者不明,自是者不彰,
自伐者无功,自矜者不长。
其在道也,曰余食赘行。
物或恶之,故有道者不处。

Qǐ zhě bù lì, kuà zhě bù xíng.
Zì xiàn zhě bù míng, zì shì zhě bù zhāng,

  1. 企者不立,跨者不行
    • 踮起脚跟的人站不稳,跨步前进的人走不远。

    • 自我表现的人反而不明智,自以为是的人反而难彰显,自我夸耀的人反而无功劳,自高自大的人反而难长久。
